Privacy Policy
Effective: July 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sasquote LLC ("Sasquote," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit sasquote.com, create an account, or use the Sasquote quoting workspace and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, company name, and authentication credentials (password hash or third-party OAuth identifier such as Google).
Content you create. Quotes, clients, products, branding assets, contract dates, and related data you enter into the Service.
Recipient information. When you email a quote to a client, we process the recipient's name and email address to deliver the message and record delivery events (sent, bounced, complaint, unsubscribe, opens where enabled).
Billing information. Subscription plan, billing status, and payment metadata processed by our payment provider (Paddle). We do not store full card numbers.
Usage and device data. IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and interaction events (for example, landing views, pricing views, checkout starts, signups) used to understand and improve the Service.
Cookies and similar technologies. Session cookies required for authentication and first-party storage used to persist drafts and preferences. We do not sell your personal information.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- Process subscriptions, invoices, and payment transactions.
- Send transactional messages (account approvals, password resets, quote deliveries, service notices).
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries you send us.
- Aggregate anonymized usage data for product analytics and business reporting.
- Comply with applicable laws and legal process.
3. Legal Bases (EEA / UK Users)
Where GDPR applies, we process personal information under one or more of these bases: contract (to provide the Service you request), legitimate interests (to secure, improve, and market the Service), consent (for optional communications), and legal obligation (accounting, tax, compliance).
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that operate our infrastructure (hosting, database, email delivery, authentication, payment processing, analytics) under confidentiality obligations and only to perform services on our behalf.
- Recipients you direct (for example, a client you email a quote to).
- Legal and safety disclosures when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sasquote, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
5. Subprocessors
The current subprocessors that support the Service include our managed cloud backend and authentication provider, our email delivery provider, and our payment provider (Paddle). We update this list as our vendors change.
6. Data Retention
We retain account and Service data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@sasquote.com; we will delete or de-identify your personal information unless we are required to retain it by law.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including transport encryption (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest for stored data, row-level access controls, and hardened authentication. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk and are responsible for safeguarding your credentials.
8. International Transfers
Sasquote is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the U.S. or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict certain personal information; to withdraw consent; and to object to processing. Ohio residents have rights under applicable Ohio privacy laws, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising). To exercise a right, email support@sasquote.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can delete it.
11. Third-Party Sites and Integrations
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party sites and tools (for example, CRMs, payment processors). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
12. Automated Decision-Making
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Effective" date and, if appropriate, by additional notice (for example, a banner or email). Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
